Hi guys, welcome back to guys that a guy's guide to what should be talked about This week is Thanksgiving, which means it is Black Friday Cyber Monday all that good shit coming up and it is there's no better time than now to Shop for all of your gifts. Like literally everything is on sale. Everything is on sale I was looking online when creating this episode. I mean I'm creating it's all about gift guides So like this spoiler alert like this whole episode is gonna be gift guides gift guides for him and for her I'm gonna start with her because I think

shopping for a woman is a lot harder. I I shopping in general is hard and a lot of guys don't like to do it in the first place. But having to find gifts and buying gifts for girls is just really hard. It's hard enough to find shit that we want for ourselves. So how to find stuff we want to get for girls is also really hard. And that's why I'm here and that's why I built this and put this all together. But when I was looking through, there's so much shit on sale right now. Like if you don't take this time to buy everything that you want to buy people in your life for the holidays, like

What are you doing? Like there's just no better time than right now. There's this blanket I love online. That's like pretty expensive and I sleep with it almost every single night and it's like half off the price. By the way, I'm not paid to say any of this stuff. I'm not like, I'm not sponsored by any of these people. I'm just giving you like what I think the people want. And it's also not just my opinion. Like I usually come on here and be like, this is all my opinion. Like take it or leave it, blah, blah. But this time I have a lot of other sources involved with these gift guides, like these

I obviously as I said like I'm not even great at chopping for girls myself. How could I be? So like I got a bunch of different opinions included in this gift guide like I spent like the last week talking to girls about like what they want. That's a lie. I spent like Saturday afternoon because I was just with like a bunch of friends. So I just was like this is an opportunity to ask them like what they want for Christmas or what they want their boyfriends to get them and also what their boyfriends have gotten them in the past.

And I literally took out my phone, I took out my notes app and just started typing down like everything they said. I wrote down every brand they said, all the gifts that they've gotten in the past, what they want this year, what they like from the boyfriend, what they didn't like from their boyfriends. And I got a lot of opinions for this. So I think this is a really good source for all things gifts for this year. And I'm excited about it. I think it's a really good guide. So I'm gonna do two big gift guides, one for her, one for him. And everything on this list is like 30 to $150.

The holidays always come up so quickly every single year and you're like, shit, now I gotta buy gifts for everybody again. And it's here again. So I'm here to provide you with a bunch of gift options.

four guys and four girls and the four Girls option like it's I'm gonna categorize this for her. I don't want to offend anybody by saying girls girls women moms aunts sisters cousins girlfriends friends like it is for everybody that it's all-inclusive It's an all-inclusive resort like everybody is involved in each gender of the gift so for her and for him and the for him is like

for your brother, your boyfriend, for your friend, for your roommate, for your uncle, for your dad, for your cousin, like anybody that's a guy in your life, that's four, anybody that's a girl in their life, it's four, it made it super simple. So for her, for him. It was just a complete and utter mess. So I thought it would just be easier to outsource it into these two other places. And it has turned out to be great. So, you can find everything on there. And then, as I said, I'm to start with her because I think it's harder to shop for her. And I want to just say some caveats. Like if you have a girlfriend and you're shopping for your girlfriend, this for her gift guide is perfect for that. But the level of gift that you're buying should depend on how long you've been dating or together and

where you are in your relationship. So, like you don't have to, if you've just started dating, spend a shit ton of money on this girl you've been seeing for four months. And if you've been dating for like three years, maybe it's time to get something like that's like a little bit more thoughtful. So I think the level and like the amount you're spending should be even to the person. Like you should know by now if you're like farther along in your relationship, like what you're buying for each other and what you've bought in the past and where you're both at with it. Like I think you figure that out as you go.

And it's it's specific to every relationship. But if you're just starting, you shouldn't buy like this super expensive thing. If you just started dating, I don't think you need to buy this like dummy expensive thing just because like you can and just because like, I don't know, it just may it just kind of creates like an offset. Like you just don't need to like just get something that's really thoughtful. And then on the note of thoughtful, pay attention to what she says.

in general but also like specifically around this time to figure out what she wants so if she's talking about a singer she likes or a band she likes if they're coming to your town or your city get tickets to that concert and think that's an amazing gift I think like experiential gifts are really great for relationships if she has like a favorite restaurant or like a favorite cuisine and there's a place you've been wanting to try but it's like a little bit more expensive than you usually go to on a date night take her there for the for the gift I think I think that's a great gift and also get like

Roses or something like flowers and something to bring with I don't think you need to get a hundred things You could just get like I think an experience is really nice If you've both been talking about roller coasters pay for tickets for a day to go to Six Flags if She's a massive fan of the new wicked movie Maybe get tickets to go see the show with her on Broadway like stuff like that It doesn't have to be super expensive and I actually think it doesn't have to be extravagant at all as long as it's thoughtful as long as there's thought put into the gift

Like you'll know if it's thoughtful and she'll know if it's thoughtful and only you can determine that and you know Like you just know at the end of the day and it's also just like nice to open like even if it's like tickets like it's nice to open something or open a gift and Like see the smile that somebody has when they when they like it and and it's actually like you've put some thought into it and you cared about it and it's obvious that you listen to an episode of guy set and then you sat down and you were like what should I get

this person in my life that I really care about that they would also really like and it doesn't have to be super expensive. Honestly, I don't think it needs to be like it really doesn't. It just needs to be something that you put some thought into and like spent five minutes thinking about and go back in your head and think like what's a conversation we had or like look back to your texts and think like what is something that she said that I think she'd really like or something that reminded me of her that I think she'd really like and just start there.

She's gonna like it like assuming that your relationship is good like she's gonna like whatever you get because you got it for her and you were thoughtful about it and you put time into it and you put effort into it and you spent like your hard-earned money buying it like she's gonna like no matter whatever you got Nevertheless buy a gift receipt like it can't hurt to buy a gift receipt for whatever you get Because you do at the end of the day want her to actually like it even though like you got her these like pajamas that you you thought she'd really like Maybe the size is wrong on the note of sizing

Always get the smallest size. This is from a lot of the girls I spoke to this past weekend They said always get the smallest size and be like, hey like babe, I can barely see you I thought you want like the smallest size I don't know just always get the smallest size and then get a gift receipt or like a Return slip so they can return it if they want a bigger size or if they want to get something different So get the smallest size and always always always get a gift receipt So that's that on that just get a gift receipt so she can return it I think that's just like a rule of thumb if you're buying a gift

and if you're getting jewelry, run it by a friend of hers or somebody that you know that knows her or like her sister or like whoever. Because apparently girls like gold or they like silver and they're in like different phases or in different like eras of their life based on their I don't know. So just get make sure that they know you know which one they want before you get it. And then like obviously don't buy a ring because like that'd be insane. Like a bracelet or a necklace or earrings. Apparently the girls really like earrings.

And I mean, of course they like earrings, but like think that's an easy thing to get or like a necklace. I don't know. Apparently they're really specific about this stuff. So just run it by a friend because we don't, we don't fucking know. Why, who are we supposed to know? And we're not. So run it by a friend and they'll also be appreciative that you took the time to ask a friend. So when in doubt experiences prevail, think of something based on a conversation you had, and then also write a card. think the art of writing cards has been completely lost and it's something I'm to do this year. I haven't done it in.

God knows how long but I think I'm gonna start writing cards again. I think it's a really it's a nice thing to just add like in Addition to the gift is being like hey like love you. Here's this I think that's super sweet So find it go to CVS get a card or go on Amazon Instacart like it's so simple and it's something that we just like completely forget. We're just like here's your gift So I think we should get cards again. That's something else Okay, so now on to the for her gift guy. That's enough caveat caveat

There's a hair in my mouth, sorry. But I feel like I've infiltrated the girls by, and like the girl genre by getting all this information for you guys and I'm very happy with it. I just feel like we're learning all their secrets. I think this is like the whole point of guyset. So I just feel like I've learned so much and I know all there is to, not all there is to know, but I know a lot about what to get for girls for gifts and gift buying in general, which is one of the hardest things. And I just learned recently what the luteal phase is, if you know what that is. I don't know, there's a lot I've been learning, but.

That's for another day. So let's get into the gift guide for her. Okay, so let's start with jewelry. Here are the brands that the girls like. Majuri or Majuri, Anna Luisa Gorgiana, which is a hysterical name, Tiffany and David Yermin, and then as I said, earrings, bracelets, and ring, sorry, not rings, no, no, not rings, definitely not rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Lululemon, there's a couple things from Lululemon.

And there's like a an addition here as well. So hold up They like the align leggings and then they also this is so funny. I feel stupid saying all this And I don't know you can you can just pick something they like from lululemon You can also get a yoga mat if she's into like yoga or pilates and then alongside that I think it's really nice to get like a Class subscription. So like if she has a favorite workout class And this goes along the lines of like the experiences stuff, but if she's a favorite workout class

I think it's really nice to get like a three month subscription to her favorite workout or there's a thing called there's an app called class pass that I think would be really great. That's a great gift as well. And just get her like some classes to her favorite workout class. Obviously make sure that she actually likes this and she doesn't think that you're being like, you say you think I'm fat. Like, okay, that's a hint taken. Just make sure you don't get, get yourself caught up into that because that's a, that's a world you don't want to be in.

So make sure she actually likes working out and Pilates are spinning before you get her spin classes because that could really be taken the wrong way. So be careful and just make sure that make sure of that first. There's a bunch of brands for pajamas. One called Cozyland, called LL Bean, one called Skims. Slippers from UGG is a really nice gift. Travel jewelry holder. There's a place called Mark and Graham, but there's a lot of other travel jewelry holders as well.

You can never wrong with a blanket with slippers with pajamas all that stuff a robe all that I'll go into more brands if you want to buy clothing like I I stray away from that I think it's really hard to buy clothing for a girl I think it's so much easier for girls to buy us clothing because we really know what we want to buy for ourselves in general we barely we barely know where to shop to start out with and they have their own thing going but if you if you really insist on buying them clothes here are the brands that the girls are liking free people Aritzia

Reformation made well anthropology banana republic skims j. Crew Abercrombie and page. Those are the ones that I got I'm sure there's more. I'm sorry if I left out your favorite brand another nice gift is perfume So if you know what perfume she likes getting her the same bottle and just being like hey when I knew you liked this but going into like a perfume place and Finding a perfume that you like the smell of being like hey, like I think this smell really good on you or hey I think this would be really nice on you

Is a nice gift some that they like Chanel number five lover by maker and dosier. I don't know Good luck with that one. Just a suggestion a heating pad stony clover pouch You can add on their own initials It's called stony clover a bag charm for the bag some of the places to buy robes skims cozy comfort or dream robe But there everything is linked. I don't have to go through all the brands. Everything's weighted blanket. I said regular blanket slippers candles

There's a couple brands boy smells the skinny confidential a lot of other brands. There's so many candles I don't just I don't know find something you like coffee table books. I think is a great gift There's like these are really cool screenplay books I found so if she has like a favorite movie you could get her a book of her favorite Screenplay of that movie. I that's a really cool gift Cocktail glasses if she like has a favorite cocktail and she wants new glasses. I that's really nice There's a thing called an ice roller

It looks not like what you think it is, but it is an ice roller. They put it on their face. and there's one that my sister loves. It's called the skinny confidential ice roller. I actually just met the creator of that ice roller last week in Austin for my real job, but she was unbelievable. She was so cool. so I highly recommend that as well. I've also used it. It's great. So those are the, those are the gifts for her. Everything is linked again. I know I ran through that kind of quickly. I think it's kind of hard to like talk through the gifts and that's kind of boring too.

But those are everything's linked and then again like just make sure that it's thoughtful and it's something that like you think she'd want Pajamas like and then at the end of the day like if you can't think of anything something cozy is always a win So like pajamas slippers blankets pillows Like a new like weighted blanket or like a weighted eye mask something for their like skincare routine that you think they'd like something that's like a little bit like

They wouldn't really treat themselves to maybe a massage. Oh, I haven't thought of that Maybe a couple's massage you can get yourself involved in there and then like you can also just get something like you like you could also just get her like her favorite I don't know. I was gonna say like candy. That's like that's a little like immature Yeah, I'm gonna stop rambling I'm gonna cut it there before I just keep going but anyway, like just get something thoughtful and anybody you're buying this for is gonna appreciate it like I'm assuming anybody you're getting it you're spending enough time Caring about to get a gift with no, let me rephrase that

I'm assuming that anybody you're caring enough about to buy them a gift is really gonna just appreciate that you got them a gift. That's the end of the day. Like when somebody buys me a gift, I'm just so appreciative that they got me something and I really rarely care what it is and I always remember it. Like I think it's so thoughtful when somebody spends the time and spends the money to get you something. It's just really nice. So don't put too much stress on yourself about it and then like you can always ask a friend or ask their friend and you'll find something good.

Four guys, if you wanna buy something for him. So a brother, a friend, a boyfriend, a cousin, any other guy in your life, your dad. Here's a bunch of stuff that I think guys would like. There's a thing called a nod pod I just discovered. It's like this weighted eye mask, that looks cool. Games, I think having games in your apartment is always great. I love code names, Monopoly, there's a game called Secret Hitler. It's not what you think, it's actually really fun. I'm Jewish, so like, and I approve this message. There's a lot of other like.

Fun games i'll add on to that gift guide that i'm just thinking like are really fun to have in your apartment when you have people over and just like Pulling out a game is always cool and it's something you wouldn't think to get yourself. And it may seem childish, but like I think it's a great gift Customized or personalized golf balls and there's a bunch of like other brands that I think guys would like i'll run through that as well But I think like guys are in need of jackets like I think it's this time of year where guys also want like a new jacket so you could get them like

You could shop at Abercrombie, could shop at Lululemon, you could shop at Roeback, you could shop at Carhartt. I'll put a list of the brands together, but there's a lot of J.Crew. Actually, I just did this last week, so you can go back and listen to last week's episode. Okay, if you want to shop for a guy in your life, go back and listen to last week's episode. It's called What to Wear or What Do I Wear? What Do I Wear? And it is literally everything for guys, like what to wear for guys.

And I also list like a ton of brands to shop at. So I will just say like go back to that episode if you want to shop for guys. It's it's very, very comprehensive. So I don't feel like I have to do that again. Sneakers, I think buying a guy a nice pair of new sneakers like going out shoes, I call them. But like white sneakers like off white sneakers is a really good gift. And I think we we like don't treat ourselves to new shoes very often. I literally wear my shoes until they are like filth.

Before I get a new pair buying a guy a new pair of shoes. I think is a great gift things We don't really treat ourselves to her like a candle and I think that's a nice gift too Like I don't know I I like the smell of candles So I think that's a good gift other things we don't really treat ourselves to like adopt kit So like the the thing you travel with I think that's a really good gift and getting somebody something like that where they'll actually use it or like a new bag a new either work bag or a new travel bag like a duffel bag

Those are all really good gifts and all very usable. I think we're we're very like we like you things we can utilize and Actually like include in our everyday life. So those are all very good things to get somebody New sheets, honestly, I think it's a really great gift a new blanket New like hoodies or just clothes in general most the time and honestly, I just think guys would like new clothes I'll speak for myself personally like I I'm always I'm always down to get new clothes and I'm always appreciative of new clothes

Like we aren't great at dressing ourselves that whole episode last week was talking about that and I think we'll always appreciate it a new beanie a new like mug There's this one called ember that I think is really great It keeps your coffee warm like throughout the day a bar set We like to think we make can make drinks and I at least love to think I can make drinks and I've gotten good at making at least like two I make a mean dirty martini. So if you ever want one, you know where to find me, but I love a new bar set I think that's always a really great gift

Lululemon ABC pants, I think they're really good work pants and they're a little bit expensive and I don't think a lot of guys will I treat themselves to that so I think that's a really nice gift. this is good. I Personally and I so I think a lot of other guys probably relate to this like now that we're living in apartments We didn't really treat ourselves a lot nice like glassware or nice like cocktail or whiskey glasses So think that is a really good gift if you're looking to get somebody something a little nice like like a highball glass

And you can also engrave the glasses. When I first moved into this apartment, my friend got me a, my big in my fraternity, it was really, really nice, got me a gift. His name's Jared, shout out Jared. Got me a couple glasses and they have my last name on it and the Eagles logo. So I think that's a really great gift. It's very personalized and I've gotten so many compliments on them from my friends. So I'm assuming a lot of guys also want that gift. Bluetooth speaker, Cologne is a really good one.

So if you want us to smell a certain way or you think we smell in general, get us cologne. I really like the polo one. I use like almost every single day, the Aaron Judge collab. I love that cologne and I've gotten so many compliments on it. So if you're looking for a new scent or new cologne, I highly recommend that one. I've never gotten more compliments on something. I think that's a really, really good gift because we don't know where the fuck to buy cologne or like a cologne sampler. So we can try out a bunch of different scents and figure out which one works for us, which one we like the best. Slippers. I think we all like slippers.

Uggs brunch Birkenstocks books coffee table book There's this website called uncommon goods that I love I've been shopping at on them for years and I've gotten some really great gifts on them And this year, I think they created this new it's it's called the New York Times Custom football book or custom baseball book and it basically has like a Bunch of history from the New York Times about your favorite sports team. I highly recommend that for somebody. That's a really cool gift

Cookbook, I think that's a great gift get somebody a cookbook whose thinks they can cook or is trying to cook like always appreciated new shoes new boots Tim's Theragun Manscape get your get a person in your life the manscape They'll appreciate that like even if it's a little weird They will appreciate that a pasta maker a new wallet or a card holder depending on what they like a personalized notebook These things are called like valet trays

And it's like a, it's kind of stupid, but you put it beside your bed. It's like this little, little leather tray and I put my keys in it. I put my AirPods in it. Like, and that's just like where they are. And I know where to find my wallet. And I just like know where to find, now, you know, when, where all my shit is. but it's like how I know where everything is. And I really like it. I highly rec, I highly recommend that as well. And then just a couple of things like robes, blankets, the same stuff that we would get guys would get for girls. Guys would appreciate as well. think.

Hanukkah actually falls on Christmas this year on December 25th. So we both or I don't know what religion you are, but both all of us like have a month from yesterday to figure out all the gifts we want to get for people in our lives. And that's a long time. Like that's a long lead time.

So like just don't be the guy as I am every single year that that like two weeks two days before I'm just like, fuck like I don't know what to get anybody in my life and then I can answer like a secret Santa gifts in a separate episode like office secret Santa and secret Santa for your friends But like also cookbooks and books are the best gift for all that as well Everybody appreciates that everybody appreciates a good like green lights Matthew McConaughey memoir or a cookbook that they will actually use people like this stuff that they'll use
