#84 - Introducing Me
Jan 7, 2025
I wanted to introduce, or reintroduce, myself to you and tell you a little bit more about the person you’re listening to on Guyset.
The biggest problem with getting advice from guys online is most of the time they're anonymous and you don't know the first thing about them.
When asked the question, “tell me about yourself,” it’s incredibly stressful to define who you are and come up with everything you want to say leading you most of the time to land on the quickest most surface-level things you can think of. It’s nearly impossible to summarize "you" into a few sentences or any words at all beyond where you work, where you live, and what you do.
I spent a lot of time this past week thinking about who I am and what makes me, me, to share a little more with you. So here's what I’ve come up with so far.
It’s like the song from Camp Rock except it’s me and not Nick Jonas.
Meet Josh: The Real Story Behind Guyset and Why Every Guy Needs This Community
Getting to know the host of Guyset: A Guy's Guide to What Should Be Talked About
In a world where guys are constantly searching Reddit for anonymous advice on everything from first date conversations to office attire, one 24-year-old decided to create something better. Meet Josh Felgoise, the founder and host of Guyset – a podcast and community specifically designed to answer the questions guys actually think about but don't know where to find real answers.
Why Guyset Exists: Filling a Massive Gap
Here's the reality: millions of guys are asking questions every single day on anonymous forums, feeling insecure about everything from career moves to relationship advice. While Reddit communities serve a purpose, they're completely unorganized, fully anonymous, and impossible to search effectively.
The problems with current advice sources:
You don't know who's giving you advice or their background
Information is scattered and hard to find when you need it
No organized, searchable database of real answers
Advice comes from completely anonymous sources
Guyset solves these problems by providing:
Advice from real people with real names and backgrounds
Organized, searchable content on guyset.com
Consistent, reliable perspectives from the same trusted sources
A community feel without the chaos of endless anonymous posts

The Guyset Philosophy
Josh believes in several core principles that drive how Guyset operates:
Real Advice from Real People
Unlike anonymous forums, every piece of advice on Guyset comes with context about who's giving it. You know Josh's background, age, experiences, and perspective before taking his recommendations.
Organized, Accessible Information
Every podcast episode becomes a searchable blog post on guyset.com. Looking for advice on "what to wear to the office" or "what to ask on a first date"? You'll find Josh's specific recommendations organized and easy to find.
Community Without Chaos
Guyset provides the comfort of knowing you're not the only one with these questions, but without the overwhelming flood of anonymous posts that make other platforms hard to navigate.
Growth-Oriented Mindset
Josh believes everyone is "constantly a work in progress" and that there's always time to improve. This isn't about perfection – it's about becoming a better version of yourself.
What Sets Guyset Apart
The Personal Touch
Josh shares his own struggles, wins, and ongoing challenges. He's open about being hard on himself, getting overwhelmed, and worrying about how others perceive him. This vulnerability makes his advice more relatable and trustworthy.
The Long-Term Vision
While Josh currently provides most of the content, his bigger goal is to build a community with multiple contributors – different guys offering various perspectives on the same topics.
The Practical Approach
Every question answered on the podcast gets turned into a blog post with actionable advice that you can reference later. No more scrolling through endless Reddit threads trying to find that one piece of advice you remember reading.
Why This Matters for Guys in Their 20s
Josh understands the unique challenges of navigating your twenties because he's living them right now. From changing jobs and building confidence to learning adulting skills and forming meaningful relationships, he's figuring it out in real-time and sharing what he learns.
Common topics Guyset addresses:
Career transitions and workplace confidence
Dating and relationship advice
Personal development and building habits
Social situations and conversations
Practical life skills and decision-making
