#4 - Let's Talk Ghosting

episode NOTES

There’s nothing that messes with your head quite like being ghosted. One day the conversation flows, the chemistry’s there, and you start to think maybe this could go somewhere. Then suddenly, nothing.

In this episode of Guyset, I talk about what really happens when someone disappears, why it hurts more than we want to admit, and how to stop blaming yourself for someone else’s silence.

“The person doing the ghosting didn’t value you or your time enough to give you a reason as to why they stopped responding.”

That line hit me hard when I said it because it’s the truth. Ghosting isn’t about being unworthy. It’s about someone else’s inability to handle discomfort.

When it happened to me, I spent days overthinking every text I sent, wondering if I did something wrong. Eventually, I realized that overthinking was just another way of avoiding the truth: if someone can vanish that easily, they were never ready for something real.

“Ghosting is less so about the person that it’s being done to and more about the immaturity of the person that is doing the ghosting.”

This episode is for anyone who’s ever been left on read and wondered what it says about them. The answer? Nothing. The way someone treats you says everything about their emotional maturity and nothing about your worth.

Notes from Josh

Ghosting still sucks, no matter how mature you are. But every time it happens, you get clearer about what you want and what you’ll no longer tolerate.

It’s not about pretending you don’t care. It’s about realizing that you don’t need closure from someone who wasn’t capable of giving it in the first place.
